The Nature of Presence

The more conscious one becomes, the less one will occupy space.

*

It is in the nature of awakening to be inconspicuous.

*

Consciousness has degrees. Presence can have more or less intensity.

*

The higher one’s state, the sweeter and simpler it is.

We find ourselves in silence and lose ourselves in unnecessary talk.

*

The present is not always beautiful, but it is always beautiful to be present.

*

Try to stay small.

*

To awaken one must be able to endure humiliation. No one has ever been exempt from this. One is given what one needs.
